Belly
Belgian Black marble
12 x 11 x 10
The sculpture is inspired by the shape of a pregnant woman's belly, and follows the form of potential, the shape of things to come, and is designed to place one's hands on. The sides are textured with a bushel hammer to contrast the true black of this one-of-a-kind stone.

The River
Portoro marble
24 x 14 x 3.5
The sculpture shows the various stages of the sculpting process from hammering, to the cut surface, to the broken edge, to the polished surface. The split down the middle, the space in-between and the strength of the grain highlighted by white veining that runs through time and space like a river.

Mountain Shadow
The sculpture references the shape of rain, or a tear attached to a familiar sphere-like shape and a place that holds the weight of memory. Landscape work strives to represent a psychological space while speaking to the origins of the material and the essence that unites two things into one.
