This one week course is designed to introduce people to the art of marble carving while providing one-on-one instruction and hands-on demos for every tool and technique along the way. Students are guided through a step-by-step process and will learn the direct carving method. 

Use of hand tools, pneumatic air hammers, die grinders, steel and carbide chisels, electric grinders, diamond saws, polishing materials, safety glasses and ear protection are all included in the course and at your fingertips. 

A one week intensive is long enough to start stone-carving and attain a fundamental understanding of the process while working on a smaller piece. The two week course certainly is better for attaining more experience and working on a more involved marble sculpture.

No previous experience necessary and everything is included, so whether it is a one week or two week course it promises to be a wonderful experience. Simply bring your ideas and creative energy and you’ll be supported every step of the way.
